Fiji Map
Fiji is comprised of around 330 islands. The four main islands are Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Kadavu. Other main island groups are the resort playgrounds of the Mamanucas and Yasawas offshore from Nadi in the north-west, and the Lau group in the extreme east. More remote islands are found in the central Koro Sea area. This region is known as lomaiviti (low-my-veety), which means central Fiji. The large bay in Vanua Levu is called Natewa Bay (nah-tay-wa), reportedly the largest bay in the southern hemisphere. The largest peak is found on Viti Levu (Mt Victoria or Tomanivi). The second largest peak is found on Taveuni (Mt Uluigalau).
